SIDRA INTERSECTION 11
FAQs

Frequently asked questions.

Subscription model
SIDRA INTERSECTION is available on an annual subscription basis. Your subscription includes everything you need in one simple annual payment: full software access, technical support, and all version upgrades released during your subscription period. There are no additional fees or separate charges.
No. There is no automatic billing and no automatic renewal. When your subscription is due for renewal, we will contact you in advance. You decide whether to renew — there will never be a surprise charge on your account.
COVER was the annual maintenance agreement for customers who held perpetual (1PC, SINGLE or FLOATING) licences. If you hold a subscription licence, COVER does not apply your subscription already includes everything that COVER provided, including software access, version upgrades, and technical support. If you are an existing COVER customer considering the move to a subscription, contact our sales team and we can walk you through the transition.
Subscription & billing
Every subscription runs for 12 months, billed annually. Your subscription period begins on the date we receive payment.
If your subscription is not renewed, your access to SIDRA INTERSECTION will stop at the end of the 12-month period. Your project files are saved locally on your computer and are always yours to keep, regardless of your subscription status.
Subscriptions are billed annually only. Monthly payment options are not available at this time.
We’ll contact you before your subscription is due for renewal. Renewal is processed by our team. There is no automatic charge to your account.
All invoices are issued in Australian Dollars (AUD). Prices shown in other currencies on our website are approximate conversions for reference only.
Yes. We offer a free trial of SIDRA INTERSECTION so you can evaluate the software before purchasing. Contact our sales team to request a trial licence.
Licensing & access
A Personal licence is for one named individual. You sign up, log in, and use the software. There’s no organisation setup required. A Personal licence can be used on any computer, anywhere in the world. The invoice can be issued to you or your employer, but the licence is always registered to the named user. A Team licence gives your organisation a shared pool of concurrent seats. An administrator manages user access through an organisation dashboard. Team licences are better for organisations where multiple people need access, even if they don’t all use it at the same time.
Yes. The invoice can be issued to your company, but the licence itself is always registered to a named individual. For example, your company can pay for the subscription, but the licence would be issued under the name of the person who will use the software. This is because Personal licences are tied to an individual user account — not an organisation.
No. A Personal Subscription Licence must be issued to a named individual. If your organisation needs a licence that is managed under the company name — for example, so an administrator can control who has access — a Team Subscription Licence is the appropriate option.
Contact our sales team. We will work with you to resolve the situation. Any transfer of the licence to a new individual requires written consent from SIDRA SOLUTIONS. If your organisation anticipates staff changes, a Team Subscription Licence may be a better fit it includes an admin dashboard that lets you reassign access without needing to contact us.
If the licence will always be used by the same person and your organisation does not need to manage or reassign it, a Personal subscription is the simplest and most cost-effective option. If there is a chance you may need to reassign the licence to a different team member in future — for example, due to staff changes or project rotation — a Team 1-Seat subscription gives you that flexibility through the admin dashboard.
Yes. All licence types allow installation on any number of machines. Your licence is cloud-based and tied to your login, not to a specific computer. However, only the permitted number of concurrent users can be signed in at the same time — one for Personal and Team 1-Seat, or two for Team 2-Seats.
Yes. You can download an offline licence seat that lets you work without an internet connection for a duration you choose — 1, 7, 14, or up to 30 days. The seat is deducted from your licence seat pool for the selected duration and becomes available again when it expires. This means you can work from project sites, travel, or areas with unreliable internet without interruption.

Your subscription gives you access to the version of SIDRA INTERSECTION that was current when you purchased, and any new versions released while your subscription is active. When a new version is released, you get it automatically at no extra cost. If your subscription expires, you lose access to all versions of the software. Your project files are always yours to keep.

SIDRA SOLUTIONS provides full technical support for the current version. Support for the previous version may be available on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to a support fee. We do not provide bug fixes or patches for versions other than the current version. We always recommend keeping your installation up to date.

Your project files are always yours. They are saved locally on your computer and are not affected by your subscription status. If you don’t renew, you simply lose access to the software itself. Your files remain exactly where they are. Free conversion tools are available on our website if you need to open project files created in older versions of SIDRA INTERSECTION.
Yes. You can upgrade from Personal to Team, or from Team 1-Seat to Team 2-Seats, at any time. Contact our sales team and well arrange the upgrade.
When you purchase a Team licence, we’ll set up a portal for your organisation in our licensing system. An administrator is assigned who can invite users, manage user groups, and control who has access to the software. Users receive an invitation email, create their account, and can start using SIDRA INTERSECTION once activated by the admin.
While your subscription is current, you have access to the version you purchased and all newer versions released during your subscription period. All versions share your allocated seats — there is no need for separate licences for each version. We recommend using the latest version for the best experience and full technical support.
Yes. Both Personal and Team subscriptions can be used anywhere in the world. There are no geographic restrictions on subscription licences. Your team members simply log in from wherever they are working.
A Personal subscription is tied to you as a named individual and cannot be shared with or transferred to another person during the subscription period. Subscription licences of any type cannot be transferred to another party without the written consent of SIDRA SOLUTIONS. If your circumstances change, contact our team to discuss your options.
If all your allocated seats are occupied and another team member tries to sign in, they will not be able to access the software until a seat becomes available. Team seats work on a first come, first served basis. If you find your team regularly needs more concurrent access, contact our sales team to discuss adding seats to your subscription.
Expiry & reinstatement
No. When your subscription period ends, your access to the software stops immediately. There is no grace period. We recommend renewing before your expiry date to ensure uninterrupted access. We will contact you in advance of your renewal date to give you plenty of time to arrange renewal.
You can reinstate a lapsed subscription by purchasing a new one. Your new subscription starts from the current version at the time of re-subscription and does not restore access to earlier versions. SIDRA SOLUTIONS may, at its discretion, apply a different fee for licences that have lapsed beyond a specified period. Contact our sales team for a quote to get you back up and running.
No. A subscription licence does not confer any perpetual right to use the software. When your subscription period ends, your right to use the software ends with it. However, your project files are always yours — they are saved locally on your computer and are not affected by your subscription status.
Pricing & purchasing
Yes. If you need three or more concurrent seats, contact our sales team to discuss volume pricing. We offer tailored pricing for larger teams and can provide a custom quote based on your requirements.

Both are available to recognised universities, research institutions and TAFEs at reduced pricing and are subject to the following conditions: they are for teaching, learning and non-commercial research only and cannot be used for commercial projects or income-generating work; network modelling is limited to 10 sites (professional licences support up to 50); output reports carry an educational watermark; and the institution applies on behalf of its staff and students we do not issue educational licences directly to individuals. To apply, complete the educational licence application form.
Absolutely. Use the Request a Quote button on our Pricing page, or contact our sales team directly. Well prepare a formal quote for your review with no obligation to purchase.
We issue invoices through our accounting system. Payment can be made by bank transfer, or credit card. All invoices are issued in AUD.
A free trial is available so you can evaluate the software before purchasing. Subscriptions are non-refundable once activated, including for unused portions of the subscription period. We do not offer refunds for change of mind. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law — if the software has a major fault, you may be entitled to a remedy including a refund.

A reasonable amount of technical support is provided, including assistance to make the software operate on your computer system, and investigation of example files that fail to run or produce unexpected results.
